Does a new GetRest mattress smell of chemicals?

Like most new products, you may sometimes find a slight odor when you unbox a new GetRest mattress, kind of like in a new car. Don’t worry, this smell doesn’t last very long! We compress the mattresses when we ship them to you. So, when you open the packaging, the mattress will feel normal within a few hours with fresh, clean air.

Even though short lived, this smell comes from freshly produced foam that is packaged especially for transit, and not from any harmful chemicals. Any minor smell that you may notice after fully opening the box quickly dissipates over the next few days.
